Cooking Classes at Sofitel Wellington

Draw inspiration and guidance from Sofitel Wellington’s passionate chefs as you navigate through the intricacies of culinary world. Choose from three different cooking classes – Perfect BBQ with head chef Roy, Heavenly Desserts with our pastry chef Mariah or Learn to master the five Mother Sauces. Each package includes an interactive cooking class, a decadent 3 course lunch with a glass of wine and a collection of the recipes / techniques learnt during the class.
Dates: Saturday 9, 16, 23 June with the class from 11am-1pm which is then followed by lunch.

Saturday 9 June 2018- “Getting the basics right” – Learn to master the five Mother sauces (Béchamel, Hollandaise, Espagnole, Velouté, Tomato). Once you know them, only your imagination is the limit of what you can create.

Saturday 16 June 2018 – “Master the BBQ” – Be the BBQ master this summer. Executive Chef Roy will unveil the secrets of exceptional charcoal BBQ. Learn how to perfect the techniques of lighting perfect fire, ideal meats to grill and marinades to complement.

Saturday 23 June 2018 – “Professional Pâtissier” – Our passionate pastry chef Mariah will demonstrate how to make one of our signature desserts! Participants will assist in creating some of the elements.

Price: $145.00 per person ($130.00 Accor Plus members).  Includes the cooking class, 3 course lunch with a glass of wine and a collection of recipes and techniques taught during the class.

Conditions: Maximum of 10 participants per day. Full payment required at time of reservation.
