Dated, not value for money

TripAdvisor rating 3.0/5

BronMD Families - TripAdvisor review

A very dated hotel, in much need of new carpet, painting, and new outfittings. We had a double room (two double-sized beds) which felt really squishing in the tiny room. The bathroom was dated and pokey. Certainly not what I expected for the price we paid. It was in a good location along the lake front. Lifts weren’t working.

Comfortable stay in a great location

Room was fine for a short stay and beds comfortable. Great to have air con too . Location is perfect - short walk to everywhere in the town. The negatives - tour group staying, which left early so lots of noise in the corridor. Why not allocate rooms away from these groups? Breakfast on until 11:00am at weekends which we thought would be great except on arriving after 10:00am, a lot of dishes had run out and were not replaced. Tables not cleared so it wasn’t the best environment. Prevented from using tables in half the restaurant as the staff were setting up for lunch! Terrible coffee both ‘barista made’ and from the coffee machine.

Great location.

Great location in the heart of Queenstown, right by the lake. Friendly and helpful staff.

Well located over priced for the quality of room and food

On arrival the hotel system was down. Check in was very slow and then we were informed that they could not store our car in their car park. The girl suggested we could park it on the street as long as we shifted it before 8am the next morning. The last thing I would want to do on our wedding anniversary. we eventually found a park on the other side of the Queenstown Gardens down on the lake front. Very disappointing experience !
